We’ve been disappointed here and there again in July, but let’s put the past behind us and have a look at the things we loved.

• #1 ANDY WALHOO, Paris : when Warhol meets Morocco | Our article

Looking for a cocktail bar off the beaten track in Paris? Andy Walhoo is what you need. We loved the oriental setting with a twist of pop art. The drinks are very solid too. The yuzu mule is a hit,  it’s made with vodka, yuzu jam, freshly pressed orange juice and topped with ginger beer. The perfect summer drink! We also recommend you have a shot at the Paloma (tequila blanco, lemon juice and grapefruit soda).

• #2 LA PALMERAIE, Provence: fine dining nearby St-Tropez | Our article •

Sometimes, I would sell my own grandmother for a dinner under the palm trees with a view overlooking the Mediterranean sea. The incredible setting is not the only reason you’re going to La Palmeraie for dinner, the plate is entirely worth it as well. Think ultra-fresh appetizers (celeriac in remoulade with cherry tomatoes and olives) and haute cuisine (veal in golden crust in the outside and super tender meat inside).

• #3 TAVERNA KYCLADES, New York : best chicken kebab in town | Our article •

Chicken kebab is an all time favorite summer food. Our go-to kebab joint in New York is Taverna Kyckades, where the chicken kebab is simply out of this world. This Greek eatery cooks the chicken to perfection, the combination of tender meat in the inside with the grilled skin is always a hit. Be prepared to wait!
