Speakeasy-like in style, The Narrows is a bar located in Bushwick, the neighborhood where a flourishing artistic community has moved from Williamsburg. If you’re in the area, don’t miss it. They offer delicious and well-priced cocktails ($8-10, a real bargain in New York) in a laid-back environment. Music is good too. What more could you ask for?
I was in the mood for the Lion’s tail: Bourbon, pimento and lime. It was fresh and spicy all in once, surprising and mixed to perfection. We loved it.
Here you can have dinner too. I’ve heard the food they serve is really good. No chance, we had already booked a table at MoMo Sushi when we stopped by The Narrows. But we’ll definitely go back to try it. In short a very nice bar, it has a soul without being excessively hipster for Le Grumeau. Even though it’s actually a narrow space (hence the name of the bar?) and always packed, the outdoor patio is a real bonus.
