The best donuts in Brooklyn are probably made at Peter Pan Donut and pastry shop. Located in Greenpoint, these donuts are among the best I’ve never had. There’s a Dunkin Donut only few blocks down but no wonder it’s always empty! The dough is deep fried and then perfectly covered with glaze. Peter Pan Donut brought light and joy in my life where there once was darkness. The dough is a bit dusty, I quickly ate up my donut, I had never seen an american pastry that was so addictive. Do it as the locals and grab a hot coffee to go with your donut.
The doughnuts come in tons of different kinds here, but my favorites are definitely the honey dip and the old-fashion donut. They’re probably not vegan and full of gluten but also incredibly cheap, only $1 for any of donut. Also don’t forget to check out here to check Peter Pan Donut’s full menu and hours.
That’s definitely another good reason to come to Greenpoint, which is full of good spots for foodies. If you’re a real donut fan and don’t want to leave Manhattan, check the ones made by Donut Plant in the Lower East Side.
