Please forget about Ladurée for now, and head to the Batignolles, in the 17th arrondissement, where a talented French pastry chef opened his macarons boutique last year.
Every macaron has its own little name, we had a try at Olivier (chocolate and tonka), which was very fresh, I loved the tonka flavor which added a spicy touch to the macaron. Renata was fantastic, it’s a combination of green tea and jasmine, very subtle but both flavors were very present. Finally, don’t leave without trying Jonathan (yuzu and black tea).
Acide Macaron is definitely the place if you want to impress your host with something different from the usual Ladurée or Pierre Hermé macarons box. The cost? It was about € 1,20 each, but it’s obviously decreasing if you take a box.
