Those who are back from New-York will probably mention Levain Bakery cookies, which we found good but not amazing. Actually, it’s hard to speak of cookies because of their enormous size. Indeed, it’s clearly closer to a cake than a cookie. However, we particularly appreciated that the inside melted perfectly in your mouth, it felt almost like cookie dough, while the outside was very crunchy. We also loved that Levain cookie was very generous with the chocolate chunks.
But is it the best cookie we’ve had in New-York? Probably not. We really prefer going to Jacques Torres or Ovenly which both make among the best cookies in New-York. We don’t want to discourage you from trying out Levain Bakery cookies, they’re worth a shot but clearly overrated in our opinion.
