Some creative matches

Among the mixed dishes of the menu, I opt for the pigeon accompanied by turnips, beetroots and quinces. The candied quinces bring a nice sweet touch to the tasty vegetables and the delicious pigeon, grilled and tender at the same time.
My friends settles for a more classic beef skirt flanked with crousti-dauphinois and a sauce diable. In spite of its conventional appearance, the dish is impeccable : the meat is tender and well cooked, the potatoes of the tasty crousti-dauphinois are crunchy and gooey.

Impeccable till the end

Desserts are as elaborated as the main dishes, which is worth noticing because it is so rare, as so many restaurants end with a disappointing note! The two desserts we tried presented both interesting contrasts of textures and flavors. Both are tasty and well balanced … Real treats! The hot and bitter chocolate sauce of the delicious “Poire Grosse Hélène” melts the delicate chocolate sphere, in which are hidden pear chunks and vanilla ice-cream.
Inside the meringue shell of the “torche aux marrons” are snuggled chestnut vermicelli and an exquisite handmade vanilla ice-cream. A saucy cherry sirup freshens this dainty dessert.
