La Pinède, a different take on the French Riviera

2 Grumgigaro11We all hate the show-off atmosphere at St-Tropez, that’s exactly why we went off the beaten path, in Gigaro. In this charming village, you’ll be find a peaceful hotel overviewing a breathtaking landscape.
La Pinède offers more than a private beach, there’s also a pool, a nice bar area and well decorated bedrooms.

Don’t be afraid on going astray, it’ll probably lead you on the coastal path which offers a great retreat from civilization. Back at the hotel, we went directly to the pool but you could also have a try at the spa.

Let’s be honest, don’t go to la Pinède in the peak season, otherwise you’ll have a heart attack when you see the bill (about €800 a night). But it’s much better in the off season, you’ll get this piece of heaven for only 300€ a night. It seems expensive, but considering the facilities and the landscape, we didn’t complain too much.
