We’ve promised we would not be snobish, so let’s put that in practice at last with the Rocher Suchard. I feel ashamed to admit that it can be found in literally every decent supermarket, but frankly it doesn’t make it less incredible.
The Rocher Suchard is an all-time favorite French candy made of a core of hazelnut praline covered with milk chocolate and on top of that, a few crushed hazelnuts. Rocher literally means “giant rock” in French so you can imagine that I was slightly afraid to taste it for the first time when I was a kid. Their mere weight gives you a hint of what is to come. Of course, there’s a high price tag for your body since there’s about 170 calories in a rocher Suchard.
Too bad they’re so hard to find in the United States except in a few specialty stores which carry them. They also come in dark chocolate but I prefer by far the traditional milk chocolate version. If you pass by France, don’t forget to have a try at a Rocher Suchard, you won’t regret it.
